What's Good in Brockville and Area? Christmas tree season is here: Johnston Brothers Tree Farm opens for the holidays

Open weekends 9 a.m.– 5 p.m. and weekdays 1 p.m.– 5 p.m.

Brockville residents don’t have to travel far for the perfect Christmas tree!

North Grenville’s Johnston Brothers Tree Farm opened this past weekend, welcoming visitors from across the region. Business is expected to grow as the holiday approaches.

Kerry Johnston highlighted the wide variety of trees available.

He also offered a few tips for first-time tree buyers.

The farm will host horse-drawn wagon rides on December 6, 7, 13, and 14. Spencer City Bar and Grill will provide hot chocolate, hot dogs, and hamburgers for attendees on those days.

Founded in 1952 by Kerry’s father and uncle, Johnston Brothers Tree Farm is marking an extra special year as Kerry’s father, Pud, turned 100.

He remains active at the farm, showing age is just a number.

Kerry said the family tradition is very meaningful to him and his family.

Johnston Brothers Tree Farm is located at 2853 Porter Road, North Grenville.

Weekends 9 a.m.–5 p.m., weekdays 1 p.m.–5 p.m., open until 12 p.m. on Dec 24. Cash only.
