What's Good in Brockville and area? Holiday adoptions surge as OSPCA campaign nears finish

The campaign launched Dec. 1 with a goal of finding forever homes for 31 animals by Dec. 24

The Ontario SPCA Leeds and Grenville Animal Centre says its ‘Home for the Holidays’ campaign is gaining momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.

Community Outreach Coordinator Katelyn Stojadinov says early results have been encouraging.

Stojadinov says adopters have been choosing a wide range of pets.

She also says anyone unsure about adopting can visit the OSPCA website to see all the pets available for a forever home.

The campaign launched Dec. 1 with a goal of finding forever homes for 31 animals by Dec. 24.

Staff are also highlighting a daily advent calendar that introduces a new adoptable pet each day.

The centre says community support will be key to reaching the goal in the final stretch.

The animal centre is located at 800 Centennial Rd. in Brockville and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the busy holiday season.
