What's Good in Brockville and Area? Kingston company with Brockville roots makes Canada’s top growing companies list

The app can be downloaded to any electronic device and provides information ranging from a boat’s size to water conditions, helping users determine where they can safely go

Wavve, a Kingston-based boating app created to help vessels navigate waterways, has climbed to No. 62 on The Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, marking the second consecutive year the company has been named to the list.

Founder and CEO Adam Allore grew up in Gananoque and has spent more than 35 years boating on the St. Lawrence River.

The company also has early-stage investment roots in Brockville.

Allore said the app began as a navigation system for St. Lawrence boaters but has since grown into a global operation.

Today, Wavve is the most downloaded marine navigation app in North America.

Allore credited his team for their continued success.

The app can be downloaded to any electronic device and provides information ranging from a boat’s size to water conditions, helping users determine where they can safely go. It can also be tailored to smaller watercraft, including jet skis.
