The Mallorytown Christmas Parade is set to bring extra excitement to the village this Saturday, Nov. 29, with organizers adding a new twist to the annual event.
The parade begins at 6 p.m., and the Front of Yonge Christmas Parade Committee says this year’s celebration will not end at the final float.
Committee member Stephanie Hudson says participants and spectators are being invited back to the community centre once the parade wraps up, where standout floats will be recognized with great prizes.
Children and parents can also meet and take pictures with Santa and enjoy free hot chocolate and treats.
Hudson emphasized that there is still time for residents, community groups, and local businesses to join the lineup.
She says anyone interested in entering a float can still sign up and take part in the long-running holiday tradition.
The parade is expected to attract strong crowds as it makes its way through Mallorytown on Saturday night.
