Officials say planning ahead can help protect pets if disaster strikes
This week marks Emergency Preparedness Week (May 4 to 10), and the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Leeds and Grenville Animal Centre is urging residents to plan ahead for their pets.
Community Outreach Coordinator Katelyn Stojadinov outlined the theme for Emergency Preparedness Week.
She also explained steps pet owners can take to stay prepared in an emergency.
The centre is offering free window decals and wallet cards to help families keep important pet information close at hand. Items can be picked up at the Brockville location.
