Organizers say the program aims to support entrepreneurs, strengthen the local economy and help businesses reach their next stage of growth
The Leeds Grenville’s Greatest Entrepreneur competition is moving to its next stage, with organizers set to select six finalists after applications closed.
The regional pitch competition is presented by Community Futures Grenville and the 1000 Islands Community Development Corporation, with support from local sponsors and community partners.
In a conversation with Giant FM’s Keith Clarke, Katie Nolan, executive director of Community Futures Grenville, explains more about the contest.
With the application deadline now passed, Nolan says the next step is to select six finalists.
Last year, Tempo Drive Music Studio in Kemptville and Curran Reading Corner in Brockville won the top prizes.
Nolan also provides an update on how the two businesses are doing.
She says runners-up also receive cash prizes, making the competition worthwhile for participating entrepreneurs.
Organizers say the program aims to support entrepreneurs, strengthen the local economy and help businesses reach their next stage of growth.
