Results will be announced June 15
The St. Lawrence Writers Festival has launched a 2026 High School Writing Contest for students in Grades 10-12 across Leeds and Grenville. Participants are invited to submit original short stories by June 1.
Local, award-winning author Rod Carley wishes he had this opportunity when he was a student.
Carley says students can go to their English teachers for more.
The initiative aims to showcase emerging talent, with winners receiving publication, recognition, and festival passes. Results will be announced June 15. Submit nominations to stlawrencewritersfestival@gmail.com, and visit stlawrencewritersfestival.ca for more information on the event this September.
