Chris Coyea of the Brockville Arts Hub at St. John's United Church says they're celebrating a top five finish in the Next Great Save, a national competition that helps restore cherished historic places across Canada.
While disappointed not to place in the top three to win significant prize money, Coyea says the result boosted awareness and community support for the historic venue.
The Arts Hub is now shifting focus toward new fundraising and accessibility projects, according to Coyea.
Plans also include applications for grants supporting inclusive spaces. Additionally, the venue highlights its new industrial kitchen and expanded event opportunities for the community moving forward.
