A fundraiser is planned this Saturday in Brockville to support 9-year-old Charley, who is preparing for a possible 12-hour surgery to remove a tumour.
Back in September, the community came together with Karra's Burgers and Fries to raise funds for Charley when she began her battle with cancer. Now, more support is needed as her treatment continues.
Angela Campbell, Fundraising and Marketing Manager for Habitat for Humanity Thousand Islands ReStore, said Charley showed her true colours during the first fundraiser.
She also explained how Charley has progressed since last September and what’s next for the young girl.
Campbell described why the group decided to hold a bake sale.
The sale starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, and continues until all treats are sold.
