What's Good in Brockville? Festive fun for a cause: Santa Run and Santa Paws Walk coming November 15

Donations to the Ontario SPCA are appreciated at the entrance

The Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre and the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area are teaming up to bring some early holiday cheer to Brockville.

The Santa Run and Santa Paws Walk will take place on November 15 at the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area.

The festive fundraiser will help support animals in need across Leeds and Grenville.

Katelyn Stojadinov with the Ontario SPCA explained what inspired the event.

Katelyn described what to expect for the Santa Run, which begins at 10 a.m.

Stojadinov also outlined details of the Santa Paws Walk, which starts at noon.

She encouraged participants to dress as Santa to bring even more Christmas spirit.

Stojadinov reminded racers to register before attending.

The Santa Run is a 6.5-kilometre timed race with a $30 registration fee, while the Santa Paws Walk is a free three-kilometre stroll for families and leashed dogs.

Donations to the Ontario SPCA are appreciated at the entrance.

Both events will feature vendors, a canteen, and a cozy bonfire — making it a perfect day to celebrate the season while helping local animals.
