Currently serves as chair of the St Lawrence parks commission
Former Senator for Ontario and longtime Leeds-Grenville MPP Lakes Bob Runciman, was honoured with the Order of Canada after 45-plus years of public service.
Runciman says his father was very political, as Managing Editor of the Brockville Recorder, influencing his decision to run for office.
Despite some early setbacks, Runciman secured a seat at Queen's Park, which started a long run in Toronto.
Runciman was also heavily involved in other community events, helping with fundraisers for the Legion, Rotary Club, Five Mile Lighthouse among many others.
Runciman is staying true to that way of thinking as he is currently the Chair of the St. Lawrence Parks Commission.
