What's Good in Brockville? Four contestants compete in Ribfest Idol

This Saturday (Aug. 9) at 5 p.m.

The 23rd annual Brockville Ribfest in support of Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville returns this Friday through Sunday (Aug. 8-10) at Hardy Park.

Saturday also marks the return of Ribfest Idol for a fourth consecutive year. After weeks of auditions at Aaron's Musical Instrument Lending Library in Brockville, four contestants will compete for their own slot at next year's Ribfest.

The performers start with Ava Steven, and for the rest, here's Willy Stevenson.

He says it's a great opportunity for them.

Select judges vote for the winner who gets their own performance at Brockville Ribfest next year. Last year's winner was Lucas Oak from Kingston. He'll be performing on the main stage starting at 4 p.m.

Ribfest Idol starts right after at 5 p.m. For full event details, visit mentoringmatters.ca.
