What's Good in Brockville? Join the coldest night of the year walk to help local youth and housing programs

Organizers encourage community members to register, sponsor a walker, or volunteer to support the cause

The Coldest Night of the Year is returning to Brockville, and locals are being encouraged to take part in the annual fundraising walk.

Over 200 cities across Canada and the United States will also host the event this year.

In Brockville, the John Howard Society of Kingston & District (JHSKD) aims to raise $36,000 for its Connect Youth and housing programs in Leeds and Grenville.

Organizer Robyn Holmes from the John Howard Society talked about the goal of the event.

Holmes spoke about the walk options and the main idea.

She also talked about ways to get involved if unable to attend.

Walkers who raise $150 or more will receive a CNOY toque. Organizers encourage community members to register, sponsor a walker, or volunteer to support the cause.
