Proceeds from the event will directly benefit local athletes throughout the year
A local community event will support Brockville and Area Special Olympics this weekend with food, fellowship and family-friendly fun.
The Knights of Columbus are hosting a chili luncheon on Saturday to raise funds and awareness for local athletes.
Rick Fraser shared more details about the event.
The gathering is designed to bring the community together while supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Fraser said a parade will add to the weekend’s festivities.
Chili will be available along with hot dogs and a selection of desserts for $7.
The luncheon runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Organizers say everyone is welcome to stop by, enjoy good food and help support Special Olympics programs in the Brockville area.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit local athletes throughout the year.
