The Brockville and Area Community Foundation celebrated a major milestone at its annual Community Grant Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 14, at St. John’s United Church in Brockville.

The foundation handed out a record $150,000 in community funding this year — more than triple last year’s amount.

Stephanie Steed, Executive Director of the foundation, spoke about what becomes possible when the foundation and its community fund continue to grow.

She said the growth has allowed the organization to make a much larger impact across Brockville and area.

Steed noted this year’s expanded support is the moment she has been working toward for many years.

She offered a few final words.

The foundation expects next year’s grant cycle to draw even more applications as awareness of the expanded funding continues to grow.
