What's Good in Brockville? More than 1,000 visits recorded from first Doors Open event

Organizers are hopeful the event will return next year

Brockville’s first Doors Open event appears to have attracted plenty of interest, with more than 1,000 visits recorded across 15 locations.

Doors Open Thousand Islands was held Friday, Sept. 18, giving residents a chance to explore some of Brockville’s most unique buildings and spaces.

The event opened the doors to locations including Fulford Place, the Brockville Arts Centre and the Brockville Police Station, among others.

Natalie Finucan, Brockville’s communications coordinator, listed the event's most popular locations.

The event aimed to bring residents together while giving them an opportunity to explore Brockville and learn more about the businesses, buildings and community spaces that help make the city what it is today.

Finucan said organizers are hopeful the event will return next year.
