What's Good in Brockville? Music and performing arts hall of fame ceremony draws strong crowd and big applause

The annual ceremony highlights people who continue to shape and support the performing arts community in Brockville and the surrounding area

The 18th annual Brockville and Area Music and Performing Arts Hall of Fame induction ceremony saw strong community support Thursday night in Brockville. 

Five inductees were honoured during the event celebrating local talent and dedication to the arts.

After receiving his award in the Teacher category, Paul Harding said it’s truly an honour.

Mary Hughes, inducted in the Behind the Scenes category, said it means a lot to be recognized and honoured, adding the work was a labour of love.

Lois Lorimer, named in the Professional category, said she moved to Toronto for a time to pursue her career, but Brockville always stayed with her.

 

She said she is beyond grateful for the honour and the celebration of the arts in the city. 

Other inductees include Sue Braden in the Actor/Performer category and Fiddlers Plus as the Band/Performing Group inductee this year. The annual ceremony highlights people who continue to shape and support the performing arts community in Brockville and the surrounding area.
