Landry said he plans to keep the Pay it Forward program going for as long as he possibly can
What began as an idea to give back to less fortunate members of the community a couple of years ago has now reached a major milestone.
Papa’s Pizzaland Brockville’s Pay It Forward initiative has now provided more than 1,000 pizzas to locals in need of a helping hand.
Through the initiative, people can contribute $10 toward a medium pizza, which is then made available for someone in need to pick up at no cost.
Owner Matthew Landry said that when he first came up with the idea and pitched it to others, they advised against it.
Landry said the community response has been very positive since the initiative began.
Landry said it is overwhelming to see the impact it is having on people in the community.
Landry said Brockville is a great city with great people.
He thanked the entire community for helping the initiative reach this incredible milestone.
