A special afternoon of world-class music is coming to Spencerville this weekend.

The concert at the Connell Homestead will be held on Sunday, November 23 at 2 p.m. at 7022 County Road 44.

Organizer Sarah Jane Dumbrille, with the assistance of Steinway Piano Gallery Ottawa, is proud to present Emily Hou, a young Korean-Canadian pianist from Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Hou has performed at major festivals and concert series including Chamberfest and Orford Musique, earning top honours at many piano competitions.

Dumbrille highlighted a few of the countries and venues where Hou has had the honour of performing.

Emily began playing piano at the age of five, and Dumbrille noted several of her remarkable achievements.

Hou has also taken part in masterclasses with renowned musicians Angela Hewitt and Stewart Goodyear.

Her program will feature works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Shostakovich, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, and Schumann, performed on a Steinway grand piano in an intimate, authentic setting.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite for $25 plus a small fee. Click here for tickets: Steinway House Concerts: Emily Hou in Concert, Connell Homestead, Spencerville, 23 November 2025 | AllEvents

Organizers expect them to sell out quickly.
