What's Good in Brockville? Rivalry on ice: police face off in Battle of the Badges for local food bank

The game is scheduled for Sunday, March 15 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Brockville Memorial Centre

Brockville’s Battle of the Badges hockey game returns this weekend as police face off in support of the Brockville and Area Food Bank.

The charity matchup features the Brockville Police Association taking on officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Leeds County detachment, continuing a friendly rivalry between the two teams.

Proceeds from this year’s event will support the food bank, with cash donations and non-perishable food items being collected at the arena.

Clay Dunnington, a constable and player with the Brockville Police Association, explained why the food bank was chosen as this year’s beneficiary.

There are also several prizes up for grabs for attendees. Constable Dunnington highlighted a few of them.

Dunnington is ready for the big game.

The game is scheduled for Sunday, March 15 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Brockville Memorial Centre. Entry is by cash donation.
