What's Good in Brockville? Smile Cookie campaign sets record with more than $52,000 raised

Organizers thanked everyone who purchased, decorated, shared and enjoyed Smile Cookies, helping make the campaign a record-breaking success

The most recent Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign raised a record amount for Brockville General Hospital.

Organizers announced last week the campaign, which ran from April 27 to May 3, generated $52,455.98 in support of the hospital.

Julie Caffin, president and CEO of Brockville General Hospital, said the organization continues to be amazed by the generosity shown by the community.

Trish Buote, executive director of the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation, said the total is the highest amount raised through the local Smile Cookie campaign to date.

Caffin spoke about how the donations will be used at the hospital.
