Tickets will be available at the door, with admission set at $5 for adults and $2 for children

Swift Waters Elementary School will present “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr.” at Brockville Collegiate Institute on May 13 at 7 p.m. and May 14 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The hour-long musical is designed for middle school performers and is based on the 1994 Broadway production and Disney’s 1991 animated film.

There are 77 students in Grades 2 to 6 in the cast and 11 crew members. We asked some of them about their favourite parts of their roles.

They also spoke about what they learned during rehearsals.

They explained why audiences should come out to see the show.

The production highlights teamwork, creativity and confidence among young performers while giving the community a chance to enjoy a classic story close to home.

Tickets will be available at the door, with admission set at $5 for adults and $2 for children.

Seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
