Get those roads ready!
As of March 10, weight restrictions are in effect on roads in the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands to protect local infrastructure during the spring thaw. The half-load restrictions, designed to prevent damage to roads as temperatures fluctuate, will remain in place until at least May 15. Depending on weather and temperature conditions, these restrictions may be lifted earlier.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to stay informed about any changes or early removal of the restrictions by following the Township’s website and social media channels. The Township urges all road users to comply with the regulations to help maintain the community’s roadways for the long term.
