Nearly eight years after he originally vanished
Nearly eight years after Joshua Hawkins vanished, police are renewing their call for information in the suspicious disappearance of the Brockville man.
Hawkins, who was 29 at the time, fled from Brockville General Hospital around 6:30 p.m. on January 28, 2018. Despite extensive searches and years of investigation by the OPP and Brockville Police, he has never been found.
Authorities say the circumstances of his disappearance remain criminally suspicious. The Ontario government continues to offer a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
Hawkins was last seen near Hamilton Street and the CN Rail tracks, wearing a yellow Tommy Hilfiger sweater, teal polo shirt, pants and black shoes. He is six feet tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a red heart tattoo on his right arm.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
