An investigation into the cause is ongoing
Brockville emergency crews were called to another structure fire early Tuesday morning, marking the third major blaze in the community in less than three weeks.
Police say the call for assistance came in around 7:45 a.m. yesterday (Sep. 2) at 46 Pearl Street West.
The Brockville Fire Department made sure everyone inside was safely out of the building.
No injuries were reported, but the property sustained significant damage.
Police quickly blocked off the area to control traffic while firefighters worked to restore safety.
The Office of the Fire Marshal has launched an investigation into the cause.
Police remain on scene to assist.
Officials note that in any fire investigation, the circumstances are considered suspicious until all possibilities are ruled out.
Investigators will determine whether the cause was criminal, accidental or otherwise, and further information will be released when available.
