Residents can drop off food at the Maynard Township Office or Maitland Fire Station during regular business hours
Augusta Township is getting festive with the return of the 2025 Christmas Food Drive Cup Challenge.
The South Grenville Food Bank has teamed up with the township to collect food and funds, competing against Prescott and Edwardsburgh Cardinal.
Every pound of food counts as $3.52 in fundraising value, and donations labeled “Augusta Township” will help bring the South Grenville Food Cup Trophy back home.
Residents can drop off food at the Maynard Township Office or Maitland Fire Station during regular business hours.
Financial donations can also be made via e-transfer, cheque, cash, or credit at local food bank locations.
Deputy Mayor Adrian Wynands highlighted when the total will be announced.
At the same time, winter conditions are creating challenges for local drivers.
Snow, ice, and reduced visibility are expected to persist this season.
Wynands offered a key tip for safe winter driving.
With the holidays approaching, residents are encouraged to give generously and drive safely to make the season bright for everyone.
