The 25-year-old was arrested and found to be impaired
A 25-year-old man is facing multiple charges after a violent altercation and impaired driving incident in Brockville early May 2. Police were first called around 12:30 a.m. after a fight broke out at Broad Street Billiards. The altercation involved the man and another individual, with three others intervening to break it up. The suspect reportedly threatened to shoot the group before leaving the area.
Shortly afterward, police received several 911 calls reporting a disturbance near Perth Street and Front Avenue. The suspect had returned, driving at two of the men involved in the earlier fight, then exited his vehicle, assaulted one male, and again made threats. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled on foot but was located by police nearby. He was arrested and found to be impaired. Charges include impaired driving, uttering threats, and assault. He was held for a bail hearing.
