BGC South East expands into Leeds and Grenville with new winter education programs

Registration opened Dec. 16 for the Winter 2026 session, which runs from Feb. 2 to March 2

BGC South East is expanding its education programming into Leeds and Grenville in the new year, launching a new lineup of winter programs for children aged four to 11.

Registration opened Dec. 16 for the Winter 2026 session, which runs from Feb. 2 to March 27 and features eight weeks of hands-on learning at the BGC Brockville Education Centre on the St. Lawrence College campus.

The expansion marks a growing focus on accessible STEM, robotics and literacy programming across the region.

Programs are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and include robotics, STEM and literacy, and junior 3D design and printing. Children will work with tools such as Dash Robots, Bee-Bots, LEGO SPIKE Prime, Makey Makey and micro:bit, while younger learners also build early reading skills through the TruePhonics literacy approach.

Fees range from $120 to $130, depending on age group and program. The courses are designed to build confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills.

Families can register online through RecDesk at BGC South East > Home
