Puck drop is 7:30 at the BMC
The 2025-26 Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) season has arrived for the Brockville Braves who gear up for their season opener tonight against the Carleton Place Canadians at the Brockville Memorial Centre.
Assistant Coach Matt Ward said his confidence in the group is high with several players returning from last year's team that won eight of their final nine games to get into the playoffs, and then took the defending Bogart Cup champion Navan Grads to seven games in round one.
Ward said the group will have to be ready to go against a very good Carleton Place team.
The Braves have a 5-10-0 record over the last five seasons against the Canadians.
Puck drop is 7:30, but prior to the game, fans are welcome to join the Braves and MNP for a pre-game barbecue in support of RNJ Youth Services starting at 6 p.m.
