Memory to live forever
A new park along the Brock Trail will soon honour the legacy of John Taylor, a dedicated community advocate and local business leader.
Taylor, known for his commitment to the city’s beloved trail, played a key role in its recent revitalization and expansion. After his passing, the Brock Trail Committee proposed a memorial park in his name, a request that gained Council’s approval.
The committee successfully raised $38,000, which will go toward decorative fencing, a plaque, and a commemorative statue at the designated site on St. Andrew Street.
Taylor’s contributions to Brockville’s outdoor spaces left a lasting impact, and this tribute ensures his dedication to community spaces is remembered for years to come.
