One of them has donated 100 turkeys for families in need
Thanksgiving weekend is on the horizon and more local families are facing food insecurity.
Tomorrow (Oct. 9) at the Real Canadian Superstore on Parkedale Avenue, the public is invited to stop by 104.9 myFM and 103.7 Giant FM's annual Food Bank Fill Up between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
All monetary and non-perishable food donations will go directly to the Brockville and Area Food Bank through the Rotary Club's Harvest Sharing Food Drive.
Food Bank Manager Amanda Petch provides a shopping list of key items they need.
Petch says they've already received generous donations from these businesses.
The food bank expects to surpass the city's population in visits by the end of the year.
