A 22-week internship
Brockville Council has approved the hiring of a Museum Graduate Intern to help inventory and organize large objects in the city’s museum collection.
The 22-week internship will be partly funded through the Young Canada Works in Building Careers in Heritage grant program, which will cover just over 52 per cent of the project’s costs. The remaining amount will be paid by the Friends of the Brockville Museum.
The intern’s main task will be to catalogue large items and add them to the museum’s online database. Once completed, the public will be able to browse the updated collection online, making the city’s heritage more accessible to everyone.
The position must be completed by March 31, 2026, as per the grant’s requirements.
This project is part of the museum’s ongoing effort to improve access, preserve historical artifacts, and support young professionals entering careers in heritage and museum work.
