Brockville issues warning as overnight winter parking ban now in effect

Illegally parked vehicles can delay snow removal and may be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense

With snow and ice returning to the region, the City of Brockville is reminding residents that winter overnight parking restrictions are now in place.

Starting this week, parking is prohibited on all city streets between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m., regardless of weather conditions. City officials say the rules are essential to allow snowplows and emergency vehicles to operate safely during winter storms.

Illegally parked vehicles can delay snow removal and may be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense. Enforcement officers will be on duty overnight to ensure the restrictions are followed.

When severe or challenging weather conditions occur, the city will declare Significant Weather Events, which will be announced and posted on Brockville’s official Facebook page.

Residents can stay informed about parking rules and local updates by subscribing to city announcements online or visiting brockville.com.

The city reminds everyone to plan ahead and park responsibly this winter.
