The area in front of T.I.S.S can be dangerous
The 2025-26 school year is officially underway today and the Brockville Police Service is reminding the public about back-to-school safety.
Chief Mark Noonan says the area in front of T.I.S.S on Parkedale Avenue can be extremely hectic with students.
He reminds residents to slow down while driving through school zones and watch for the stop signs and flashing lights on school buses.
It's the second year of operation for Swift Waters Elementary on King Street West.
Chief Noonan says that's a busy area.
Parents are urged to use the drop off zones that are there for the safety of their kids.
