The Brockville Police Service has arrested and charged a 49-year-old Brockville teacher following a historical sexual assault investigation.
Police say Elizabeth Doncaster of Brockville faces charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and sexual exploitation. The allegations involve a male student and relate to incidents that are alleged to have taken place between 2008 and 2011.
Investigators say the accused was held for a show cause hearing and later released. A court appearance is scheduled in the new year.
Police say there is concern there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Detective Graham Coe is leading the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Coe at 613-342-0127, extension 2073.
Police remind the public that the charges have not been proven in court and the accused is presumed innocent. The investigation remains ongoing.
