On Monday, September 1st
Brockville police arrested a woman after a break and enter at a local autobody shop in the early hours of September 1.
Officers say they received a call around 12:45 a.m. from the owner of MIE Autobody and Collision, who reported that someone had broken into the business and was still inside.
The shop had experienced an earlier alarm call, which was believed to be a system issue.
When officers arrived, they located a 31-year-old woman inside the facility and took her into custody.
Police say the woman caused damage to the alarm panel and was found with five sets of vehicle keys, identity documents that were not hers and several inactive gift cards.
She was also on probation at the time.
The accused faces charges including break and enter, mischief under $5,000, possession of an identity document and failure to comply with probation.
She was held for a bail hearing.
