Police were called on Aug. 26
A 36-year-old woman is facing impaired driving charges after police say she was found unconscious behind the wheel of a car in a Brockville parking lot.
Police were called around 3:30 p.m. on August 26 to a business on Central Avenue after reports that a driver had apparently passed out inside a vehicle.
Officers arrived and determined the woman appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
Police say drugs and other paraphernalia were also seen inside the car. The items were seized and sent for testing to confirm their composition.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service, where a Drug Recognition Expert conducted further testing.
Police say she performed poorly and was charged with operation while impaired by drugs and possession of a Schedule I substance.
She was released with a future court date.
