A 33-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after an argument with her boyfriend turned violent at a home on Convay Crescent.
Police were called around 9:30 a.m. on June 2, after a disturbance was reported between a couple. Officers say the woman hit the man in the face with a shoe, bit his hand, and also bit and damaged his phone.
Further investigation revealed the woman was already on probation and had been sending harassing messages to the victim. She was arrested at the scene and held for a bail hearing.
The charges include assault, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000, harassing communications, causing a disturbance, and three counts of failing to comply with probation.
Police are reminding the public that help is available for anyone experiencing intimate partner violence.
