No one was injured in the crash
A 24-year-old Brockville woman is facing impaired driving charges after a three-vehicle collision at a busy intersection on Halloween night.
Police say the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on October 31 at the intersection of Parkedale Avenue and Ormond Street. Officers responded after receiving a report that three vehicles were involved in the collision.
Investigators determined the woman was driving toward the intersection where traffic was stopped but failed to stop in time. Her vehicle struck the rear of another car, forcing it forward into a third vehicle.
No one was injured in the crash. However, officers noticed the driver showed signs of alcohol impairment while speaking with those involved. She was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service for testing, which confirmed she was impaired.
Her driver’s licence was suspended, her vehicle was impounded, and she was released with a future court date to face two impaired driving charges.
