The night ends with fireworks over the St. Lawrence River at Blockhouse Island starting at 9:30 p.m.
Canada’s 158th birthday party will have a new backdrop this year as the City’s official Canada Day festivities move to Hardy Park on Tuesday, July 1.
The celebration begins at 11:45 a.m. with a community march from City Hall led by the Brockville Pipe & Drum Corps, joined by local dignitaries and emergency services. The procession ends at the Hardy Park gazebo.
At noon, singer AJ Benoit will perform O Canada, followed by remarks from Mayor Matt Wren and free cupcakes. Music continues at 12:30 p.m. with AJ and The Royal Canadians and more local acts.

Residents are also encouraged to fly the maple leaf in honour of its 60th year. Canadian lawn signs are available for $10 from Rotary, with proceeds supporting local causes.
