Construction continues in September on multiple projects in Brockville
Kids are back in the classroom and that leaves Brockville Mayor Matt Wren reflecting on what he says was another busy summer for Brockville.
Thousands of tourists came to the city to experience attractions like the railway tunnel, and enjoy events like the Tall Ships Festival and the 1000 Islands Regatta.
Construction across the city continues into September including the much-anticipated King Street West work.
Wren offered a rough timeline, noting the minimal impact the work has on Swift Waters Elementary School students.
Wren says they just simply change the bus routes in order to get the kids to school.
He knows the work can be frustrating for drivers, but said it's important for the city.
Wren says there were capital projects worth $14.5 million that were approved for this year's budget with some of the construction projects being carried over from previous budget years.
