Heavy traffic expected in the city
Brockville's Tall Ships Festival has arrived, and with a heavy increase in traffic expected, residents in the North End of the city are being advised to take shuttle buses down to the event.
Brockville Tourism's Lyndsay Bigley tells us where those shuttles are located.
The weekend festivities begin with the Parade of Sail on Blockhouse Island starting at 3 p.m. There are seven participating vessels.
Tens of thousands of visitors are expected, and Bigley says there will be transportation available for those who are concerned about mobility at the event itself.
She adds that hotels have been selling out, and local businesses are looking forward to seeing the financial impact from the weekend long event.
