Van Alstyne, Texas product Austin Caley is one of the latest additions to the Brockville Braves.
He touched on what it was like growing up in Texas.
Set to turn 20 years old on November 4th, Caley brings a winning pedigree to the Braves from his time with the Dallas Stars Elite AAA program (2018-2024), and last season in particular where he posted a 10-0-0 record leading the Maritime Junior Hockey League's Edmundston Blizzard to a league championship.
Through two games in the Braves' crease, Caley is 1-1-0 with an impressive 2.02 goals against average and a .930 save percentage. He talked about the transition to his new team.
Caley believes they can go on a win streak if they keep playing a good team game.
The Braves host the Cornwall Colts tonight at the Memorial Centre. Puck drop is 7:30.
