The agency expects heavy traffic at land ports and airports as people return to Canada and urges travellers to be prepared and patient.
In 2024, the CBSA welcomed more than 93 million travellers and intercepted over 34,000 kilograms of illegal drugs and 930 firearms.
Officers continue to focus on safety and efficiency, especially during peak travel periods.

Those flying can use Advance Declaration up to 72 hours before arrival, while drivers should aim to cross early or choose alternate ports.
