Community rallies to save life-changing youth program

Organizers warn that if funding is lost, many vulnerable youth could be left without essential services

RNJ Youth Services is calling on the community to help save a program that supports at-risk youth across Ontario.

The Connections program, which helps young people stay in school, build life skills, and make positive choices, is facing an uncertain future without continued support from the Ministry of Education.

A petition urging the province to fund and expand the initiative has already gained dozens of signatures.

Supporters say the program provides mentorship, safe spaces, and guidance that help reduce youth crime while strengthening local communities.

Recent signers include residents from across the region who are stressing the importance of investing in young people.

Organizers warn that if funding is lost, many vulnerable youth could be left without essential services that make a lasting difference in their lives.
