Thousand Islands Secondary School hosts the Burnbrae Hungerford Track and Field Meet
Drivers in Brockville should prepare for traffic delays on Friday, May 2, as Thousand Islands Secondary School hosts the Burnbrae Hungerford Track and Field Meet.
City officials are warning commuters and residents to expect heavy congestion near Parkedale Avenue and Windsor Drive due to increased pedestrian traffic and limited parking in the area.
The event is expected to bring a large number of athletes, coaches and spectators to the school, creating traffic backups throughout the day.
Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes and allow for extra travel time to avoid frustration and ensure safety for all.
Officials are asking for the public’s patience and cooperation during the event to help keep the area safe for everyone involved.
The city says promoting a safe and successful meet is the top priority.
