Augusta Township’s Deputy Mayor Adrian Wynands says local corn crops are doing well this summer, with farmers seeing healthy growth across the region.
He’s also reminding residents of a full road closure on Algonquin Road between Knapp Drive and Bains Road on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wynands also noted that a partial burn ban remains in effect across the township.
Small campfires and propane or gas appliances are allowed, but larger fires — such as brush or agricultural burns — are not permitted.
The ban came into effect on July 16 and is aimed at reducing fire risks during dry summer conditions.
