Residents of Leeds and Grenville, including Gananoque and Prescott, can safely dispose of household hazardous waste during the United Counties’ upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, October 11.
Drop-off locations include the Spencerville Fair Grounds on Goodin Road and the North Grenville County Patrol Garage, just south of Kemptville. Collections run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at both sites.
Accepted items include batteries, light bulbs, propane tanks, antifreeze, gas and oil filters, driveway sealer, paint products, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, pool chemicals, and household cleaning products. Residents are asked to check the Counties’ website for a full list before attending.
