The compost site will close for the season on Saturday, November 29
The City of Brockville is reminding residents that the final Fall Curbside Leaf Collection is scheduled for the week of November 17 to November 20.
Residents are asked to place leaves out for collection before 7 a.m. on their regular collection day. Leaves must be in paper bags or labeled reusable containers. Plastic bags and taped or stapled paper bags will not be collected.
Leaf collection is handled in a separate vehicle and may occur before or after regular garbage and recycling pickup.
The Leaf and Yard Compost Site at the Gord Watts Municipal Centre, 251 North Augusta Road, will be closed Wednesday, November 12, reopening the following day. The site accepts leaves, indoor and garden plants, small amounts of soil, brush, hedge trimmings, and tree limbs.
