Now has a date with a Brockville judge in May
A Thunder Bay driver is facing charges after a head-on, three-vehicle crash on Highway 401 near Lansdowne.
Leeds County OPP responded to the collision on March 26, 2025, just after 7 a.m. near mile marker 652. Two drivers suffered minor injuries, while a third was seriously hurt and taken to a trauma centre. Their injuries were later confirmed as non-life-threatening.
Police, with help from collision reconstruction experts, investigated the crash and laid charges.
Jo Ellen Baxter, 28, of Thunder Bay, is charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, driving with liquor readily available, and driving with cannabis readily available.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on May 30, 2025.
